Cross Country

On Thursday 2 of June at, nine 0-clock Room 3 and Room 4 were getting ready to go to cross country. We all had our bags packed with food, water and a jumper. Before we left we all went to the toilet. I got there first and I was lucky cause as soon as a opened the door I saw massive lines of people waiting. So once we were all ready we went outside to line up with the rest of the people. Because it was cross country most of the school was lined up.
Soon enough we were all on the bus. We were riding in a Party Bus so there was laser shooting, lights flashing and amazing music. When we got there we stopped undercover to regroup. After that we took a walk on the track to see what we were up ageist. Fist we had to run on a long beach witch was extra hard because it was powdery so we went twice as slow and used twice as much energy. Along the walk people were dropping cones down to mark were we had to go. There were two way to get back up, one longer away were the years 10 and up had to go and the shorter, easier path for years 9 and below. Next we had to ether go under or through a picture frame. Finally we had to jump over three hurdles to get to the end. After that we sat down and had some morning tea.

After a delicious snack it was time for the 8 year old boys to run. Next the 8 year old girls turn to run. About a minute after the girls had gone Rio, the fastest kid were coming to the end. After both of then had gone it was our turn to go. I started on the left side of the starting line so I could get an advantage of turning. As soon as teacher said "GO" everyone was running. When I was running on the beach I had to dodge the holes in the sand. After I got off the beach I tripped over my feet. Then I had to jump through the frame. After that I had to jump over the three hurdles. Finally it was the final sprint to the finish. I only just bet the kid behind me. It was over, It was finally over I could finally have a drink and cool off.

ANZAC Day Reflection

Deafening gunshots in our ears,
At the end of this war we will cheer.
Soldiers's corpses left and right,
But we're still standing here and we're gonna fight.

The thing that's worst is the deadly sickness,
But the good thing is we've got ANZAC biscuits.
Lest we forget our fallen members,
This battle's been raging on since December.

These trenches will not last,
Another massive grenade blast.
At last the enemy will surrender,
What happened at war I will remember.

Term 1 Reflection

1. My favorite thing in term 1 was WaterWise because we got extremely better at swimming and we got to go kayaking. Also I love to go swimming at the beach

2. My least favorite thing about term 1 was the waterhole at camp cause it was unbelievably cold and the cold water made me weak and freezing.

3.What I would like to do more of in term 1 is kayaking at WaterWise because it was relaxing and super fun to do.

4.My top five thing about term 1 are
. Slip and Slide at camp
. Confidence Course at camp
. Swimming at school
. Doing Kapahaka
. Kayaking at Water Wise

5.I showed commitment by going to every single Kapahaka practice. I showed aroha by helping people with their work. I showed respect and responsibility by not being rude and doing my work and I showed excellence by doing by very best in spelling, maths, reading and writing.
